 NCP Diaspora unites Bangladeshi diaspora communities and international allies through advocacy, civic engagement, and coordinated regional action.

We are independent, non-partisan, and driven by the vision of a democratic, inclusive, and pm accountable Bangladesh—at home and across the diaspora.

NCP Diaspora Alliance is not a political party. It is a platform of concerned citizens committed to constructive change. From grassroots activism to global dialogue, we amplify the voices of Bangladeshis worldwide.

Strategic Alignment & Legacy

NCP Diaspora maintains its roots in the Jatiyo Nagorik Committee (JNC) and aligns, in principle, with platforms like the National Citizens’ Platform (NCP). All partnerships are grounded in shared values, transparency, and respect for civic independence.

NCP Diaspora operates through a federated regional structure. Each chapter addresses the unique needs of its region while staying connected to the global mission.

Structure

Organisational Structure

The NCP Diaspora Alliance is structured as a federated, regionally organised network that promotes grassroots participation and global coordination. Each region operates with autonomy while staying aligned with the platform’s core principles and strategic direction.

Global Diaspora Committee

Committee is NCP Diaspora’s highest coordinating body. It consists of two democratically elected representatives from each global region. The committee is responsible for:

  • 1. Setting global priorities and policy direction
  • 2. Overseeing working groups and thematic initiatives
  • 3. Approving amendments and structural changes
  • 4. Ensuring transparency and accountability across all regions

Zonal Teams

Zonal units function within countries or specific localities to ensure on-the-ground impact. These teams connect directly with community members, conduct outreach, and contribute to regional decision-making.

Working Groups & Networks

To strengthen thematic work, NCP Diaspora operates issue-based working groups. These include:

NCP Workers Union  –  collective voice for workers around the world.
NCP Women – Gender-focused initiatives and leadership
NCP Legal – Legal analysis, support, and justice-related advocacy
NCP Media – Narrative building and strategic communications
NCP Engineers – Technical innovation and infrastructure expertise

Additional groups may be formed based on emerging priorities.

Membership

The NCP Diaspora Alliance thrives on the dedication of its members—individuals from across the globe who share a common vision for an accountable, inclusive, and democratic Bangladesh. Membership is open to Bangladeshi diaspora and global allies who align with NCP Diaspora’s principles and goals.

Types of Membership
1. Executive Members
  • Eligibility: Individuals committed to active leadership and meaningful engagement
  • Responsibilities:
    • 1. Lead or support advocacy initiatives
    • 2. Mentor and mobilise new members
    • 3. Participate in strategic and organisational decisions
  • Leadership Structure:
    • 1. Each regional executive team includes 8 leadership and 8 executive members (16 in total)
    • 2. A minimum of 30% of executive roles must be held by women
    • 3. In regions such as MEA and Europe, representation from migrant worker communities is required, including at least one representative on the global panel
2. General Members
  • Eligibility: Open to those endorsed or invited by Executive Members
  • Responsibilities:
    • 1. Participate in meetings, events, and civic actions
    • 2. Contribute to regional and global campaigns
    • 3. Stay informed and engaged with platform updates
